Job summary

Aerotek in Suwanee, GA is seeking an Assembler to read electrical schematics and CAD models to build power distribution units, static transfer switches, energy storage systems, and other integrated products in a manufacturing setting.

You will use hand tools and power tools, perform soldering and crimping, ensure quality, follow BOMs, and contribute to continuous improvement. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite role with a Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets electrical schematics, CAD models, blueprints, part drawings, and bills of material.
• Hands-on assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools and portable power tools such as drills and impact drivers.
• Experience using tape measures and basic mechanical measurement tools.
• Soldering, crimping, and building wiring harnesses.
• Ability to perform both electrical and minor mechanical assembly tasks.
• Attention to detail for inspecting parts and identifying flaws or missing components.
• Ability to follow standard documentation and apply it to custom applications.
• Understanding of safe work practices when working with electrical and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complete products and subassemblies to specification from schematics, CAD models, and bills of materials.
• Interpret standard documentation and adapt to custom applications based on existing products.
• Create point‑to‑point control and power wiring based on schematics, including crimping, soldering, and wiring harnesses.
• Electrically assemble new variants of existing products, including minor mechanical tasks.
• Apply safe Electro-Static Discharge handling practices to protect components.
• Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, reporting defects.
• Identify and report missing parts to maintain build accuracy.
• Use hand and power tools and measurement tools to complete tasks safely and accurately.
• Support production by following processes and contributing to continuous improvement.
