Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a dedicated Test Technician to set up and operate a range of test equipment for electronic instruments onsite in California. You will test units, interpret results, and document findings to ensure quality and reliability.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experience, with preferred 2–3 years in electronic test and troubleshooting. Onsite schedule and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 2–3 years direct experience in electronic test & troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up & operate a variety of test equipment.
• Test electronic units using prescribed test procedures.
• Configure & verify regular test equipment to fit special tests.
• Interpret & record test results.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot to component level.
• Recognize & isolate test equipment failures with assistance.
• Perform high potential testing.
• Read & interpret assembly & test instructions, engineering prints & standards.
• Use computer systems for work instructions, labor charging, prints & standards.
• Generate Non-Conforming Material tags and work with Engineers on EEPs.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
• Perform various technician functions associated with testing complex chemical instruments.
