Job summary

New Flyer in St. Cloud, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Electrical to design, develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electrical components within our heavy-duty transit buses.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, improve quality and drive on-the-floor efficiency. The role requires post-secondary engineering education and experience in electrical systems; CAD software proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary engineering education or technical training in a related field.
• Experience with electrical systems in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for electrical components in transit buses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices on the shop floor.
• Create and maintain process documentation including SOPs and layouts.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical production defects.
