Job summary

New Flyer is seeking an Electrical Development Specialist to train the Electrical Department and support the Learning Institute and Production teams in Crookston, MN or St. Cloud, MN.

You will identify training needs, develop and deliver classroom and on‑the‑job programs, and help improve electrical quality, safety, and performance. With 5+ years in electrical roles and strong schematics skills, you will lead safety compliance, create and refine standard work instructions, and mentor teams to

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an electrical technician role focusing on OJT techniques.
• Ability to read and apply engineering schematics/drawings.
• Electrical data sheets interpretation and troubleshooting skills.
• Post-secondary electrical certification or degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and technical training to the Electrical Department.
• Collaborate with Learning Institute to plan and execute development programs.
• Establish performance standards and assess competency gaps.
• Enforce electrical safety standards and report unsafe practices.
• Mentor the Electrical Cell Team on SWIs and PQSs.
• Lead Training Matrix maintenance and course evaluations.
