Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability and safety of the facility's electrical systems. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot, perform corrective actions, and support commissioning and documentation.

Requirements include 3+ years on industrial electrical systems, NFPA 70E know-how, LOTO experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working on industrial electrical systems (LV/MV power distribution, controls, or facilities maintenance).
• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, schematics, and troubleshooting methods.
• Hands-on ability to diagnose and repair electrical equipment (switchgear, VFDs, UPS, motors, relays).
• Experience with LOTO and safe electrical work practices (NFPA 70E or equivalent).
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or electrical license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and restore electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
• Own reliability for assigned systems and drive corrective actions.
• Support commissioning, energization, and system validation activities.
• Maintain work orders, asset data, and documentation in iEMS.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed (LOTO / EEW).
• Assist with spare parts identification and inventory readiness.
