Job summary

CLIENT Manufacturing Co., LLC is recruiting for a direct hire role in Upstate South Carolina. The position starts at $32.80/hr with increases every 6 months and a planned January 2027 start.

The role covers modifying and maintaining automotive manufacturing and test equipment, with a shift to night production anticipated by May 2027. Travel is limited and flexibility to work A/B shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline and 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls, mechanical, and electronic systems.
• 5-7 years’ experience preferred.
• 3 years experience may not pass testing.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and strong safety practices.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and updates all process documentation.

Direct Hire: Employment with CLIENT Manufacturing Co., LLC (CLIENT MC)

Pay Rate: $32.80/HR, increment every 6 months

Projected start date is January 2027.

Candidates starting in January 2027 will remain on day shift until the anticipated night shift starts in May 2027.

ESA Job Description & Pay Rates

Oversees equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansions. Troubleshot, maintained, repaired, and modified automotive manufacturing and test equipment to improve system uptime and reliability. maintains and updates all process documentation.

Must demonstrate the knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices.

• QualificationsAssociate degree in a technical discipline and 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls, mechanical, and electronic systems
• Focus on candidates with 5-7 years’ experience
• Candidates with 3 years of experience typically don't pass testing
• Experience working at Michelin is a plus
• Practical experience and recognizing the importance of asking the 'operator'
• A candidate's commute should not exceed a 1.5-hour drive
• Travel expenses for candidates selected to interview will be limited.
• Consideration may be given to workers that have a very strong background and extensive experience.
• Candidate must have flexibility to work A and B shifts
• ORHigh school diploma/GED and 2 years of technical experience PLUS 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls, mechanical, and electronic systems (4 years total experience)
• ALLMust be a highly flexible individual who can adjust to changes quickly.
• Must be willing to work overtime and holidays as needed
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Successful candidates must pass a hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test working with live current.
• Preferred 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience to include:Experience interfacing with various PLC programming languages, Siemens highly preferred
• Experience maintaining and modifying electrical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems, 24v to 480v
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated robotics systems
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and replacing Variable Frequency Drives.
• Experience interpreting technical schematics: ladder logic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, etc.
