Job summary

HKA Enterprises in Greer, SC is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician specializing in PLC/Controls for the night shift. You will troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and safety on the production line.

You will modify equipment for process changes, support new models, and maintain up-to-date documentation. This role requires 3+ years of hands-on PLC and electrical troubleshooting and willingness to work overtime and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience in automation/PLC controls.
• Experience with 24V to 480V electrical systems is required.
• Experience with robotic systems and pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Ability to read ladder logic and electrical schematics.
• Willing to work night shift and overtime when needed.

About the Role

Support advanced automotive manufacturing operations by keeping production equipment running safely and reliably. You will oversee equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and plant expansions. You will troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify manufacturing and test equipment to improve system uptime and reliability. You will also maintain and update all process documentation and follow safe work practices at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Associate degree in a technical discipline plus 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls and mechanical and electronic systems.

Option 2: High school diploma/GED and 2 years of technical experience plus 2 years of experience in automation/PLC controls and mechanical and electronic systems (4 years total).

All candidates must:

• Be highly flexible and able to adjust to change quickly
• Be willing to work overtime and holidays as needed
• Work effectively in cross-functional teams

Experience

3+ years of hands-on troubleshooting experience, including:

• Working with various PLC programming languages (Siemens highly preferred)
• Maintaining and modifying electrical systems
• Troubleshooting complex electrical systems, 24V to 480V
• Maintaining and troubleshooting automated robotic systems
• Maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic systems
• Troubleshooting and replacing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Interpreting technical schematics (ladder logic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, etc.)

Hiring Process

• Hands-on troubleshooting proficiency test (electrical troubleshooting on live equipment)
• Onsite technical interview with the hiring managers
