Job summary

MacLean Power Systems (MPS) – Alabaster is seeking a maintenance technician to apply electrical theory, assist engineers in design and repair, and support equipment upgrades onsite in Alabaster, Alabama.

You’ll assemble systems, collaborate with engineers, and perform inspections while adhering to 5S and safety policies. Strong technical basics and 0–2 years’ experience are preferred; accreditation from a technical school is required.

Qualifications

• Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program is required.
• Ability to interpret work instructions is necessary.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills are expected.
• Technical expertise in electrical/electronic systems is needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical assistance for electrical or engineering issues before, during and after construction.
• Assemble electrical/electronic systems and prototypes per engineering data using tools and instruments.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify and solve developmental problems.
• Analyze test information to resolve design-related issues.
• Install, repair and upgrade industrial control systems, including PLC logic.
