Qualifications

This is a 1st Shift Position

The Maintenance Electrician installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical equipment following the National Electrical Code, installing lighting, conduit, and fittings, and troubleshooting equipment issues using electrical schematics.

Job Responsibilities
  • Install electrical equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
  • Replace and maintain electrical components, install lighting, conduit, and fittings.
  • Troubleshoot control circuits.
  • Read and analyze electrical prints and schematics.
  • Test and repair electrical motors and pumps.
  • Complete work orders as requested by production.
  • Install frequency drives, troubleshoot drive issues, and conduct preventive maintenance.
  • Use Allen Bradley PLC software for troubleshooting and equipment installation.
  • Connect power supply wires and cables between machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
  • Assemble and test various parts; repair and replace pumps, valves, and compressors.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and shop equipment.
  • Perform additional duties including plumbing, fabrication, facility repairs, and cleaning.
  • Maintain water treatment systems.
  • Use CMMS software effectively.
  • Collaborate as part of a maintenance team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma with at least five years of electrical experience (Required).
  • Associates degree or trade certificates (Preferred).
  • Experience with blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder diagrams for PLCs in an industrial setting.
  • Electrical journeyman's license (Preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license for travel to secondary manufacturing plants and parts pickup.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
Internal/External Contacts

Regular contact within the company including production, plant management, engineering, and other employees requesting work. External contact with vendors is also required.
