Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician in Fayette, Alabama to troubleshoot and maintain machinery and electrical controls. The role focuses on electrical maintenance with some mechanical troubleshooting, supporting production lines and instrumentation systems.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a 2-year associates degree preferred and 5+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
• Two-year Associates Degree in industrial Maintenance preferred.
• Five or more years of industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with meters and testing equipment to verify electrical operation.
• Proficiency with computers and PLC programming software to access/diagnose programs.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Project.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, time management and communication skills.
• Ability to respond during nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex electrical duties on production machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and some mechanical issues.
• Maintain and calibrate control/instrumentation systems.
• Develop production processes and provide technical support to production teams.
• Minimize downtime and ensure equipment is functional at all times.
• Record calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities.
