Job summary

Transmission & Distribution World is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the West Chester, OH facility. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to improve reliability.

You will perform routine preventative maintenance and respond to unscheduled floor calls with urgency. Experience in electrical/ hydraulic/pneumatic systems, reading schematics, and working with PLCs

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical knowledge with motor installation and VFD troubleshooting.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Experience with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Experience with hydraulics, fluid systems and pneumatics.
• Two years industrial maintenance experience or a two-year electrical/mechanical degree.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Respond to unscheduled floor calls and repair with urgency.
• Collaborate with maintenance team and leadership.
• Inspect and repair mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic components.
• Use hand and power tools, measurement devices, testing instruments.
• Follow plant safety and PPE guidelines.
• Be available for all shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime.

Salary & Benefits

• Starting pay is $34.50 and up depending on experience, skills and certifications
• $2/hr shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift

Shift

• Currently hiring for 2nd (3:00pm - 11:00pm) Shift.
• Employees must be available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability.
• Perform routine scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Respond to unscheduled floor calls, troubleshoot, and perform repairs with a sense of urgency.
• Work in collaboration with a knowledgeable maintenance team and communicative leadership.
• Work with industrial machinery to inspect, repair or analyze mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring devices, testing instruments.
• Support our safe working environment by adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Willing and able to work any shift, holiday, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Provide a self-discipline work ethic.
• Critically problem-solve with team members to solve complicated and challenging problems.

The Experience You Will Bring:

Requirements:

• Industrial electrical knowledge with electric motor instillation and frequency drive troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Lenze, Siemens)
• Experience with reading and understanding electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics, fluid, and pneumatics.

What Will Put You Ahead:

• At least two (2) years of industrial maintenance/military experience OR a two (2) year electrical mechanical maintenance degree.
• Experience with printing HP printing equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with troubleshooting PLC’s but no programing required (Siemens, Allen Bradley)
