Job summary

PCG seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in the United States. You will perform preventive, preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems, troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motor drives, and network components, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include performing service calls, documenting activities in CMMS, and supporting sub-system optimization and tool development to improve service quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a technical environment with industrial electrical systems and controls.
• Degreed and/or certified electrician.
• Strong knowledge of LMS, sensors, proximity switches and industrial network protocols.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Exercise safe working practices and comply with LOTO procedures.
• Prepare and execute service calls, emergency and corrective maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and follow up on corrective work orders.
• Troubleshoot electrical-mechanical and PLC issues in automated handling systems.
• Perform basic PLC and VFD diagnostics, adjust settings and perform backups.
• Inspect and maintain electrical-mechanical and PLC systems; perform emergency maintenance.
• Report and document operations and maintenance activities via CMMS.
• Advise on optimization of subsystems and propose improvements.
• Develop service supporting tools and means.

Electrical Maintenance Technician – Job Description

• Exercise safe working practice at all times, complying with Lock-Out/ Tag-Out procedures.
• Prepare and execute service calls, Emergency Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance.
• Preform Preventive Maintenance & follow-up on Corrective Maintenance work orders.
• Troubleshoot errors on electrical-mechanical fields as well as the basic PLC level in automated handling systems.
• Preform basic PLC and VFD diagnostics, adjust setting/ parameters, and version control and backups.
• Carry out electrical-mechanical and PLC related inspections, corrective and preventive maintenance as well as emergency maintenance.
• Report and document carried-out operations and maintenance activities, including service reports, parts usage and warranty records through the Computer Maintenance Management System.
• Advise and execute optimization of (sub) systems, consulting the supervisor, control and propose improvements for the quality of the service process.
• Develop service supporting tools and means.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a technical environment, predominantly in industrial electrical systems and controls.
• Degreed and / or certified as an electrician.
• Strong, working knowledge on LMS, sensors, proximity switches and industrial network protocols (Asi, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings/prints.
