Job summary

PCG seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical systems, troubleshoot PLC/VFD issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include documenting activities in the CMMS and supporting system optimization with supervisors. The role requires strong electrical/mechanical drawing understanding, 5+ years in industrial environments, and the ability to lift up

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical environment, industrial electrical systems and controls.
• Degreed and/or certified as an electrician.
• Strong knowledge of LMS, sensors, proximity switches and industrial network protocols (Ethernet/IP, etc.).
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings/prints.
• Self-starter and proactive.
• Detail oriented and stress resistant.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computers and equipment.
• Customer oriented.
• Innovative and self-assured.
• Physically able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Able to complete training and security checks for security badge access to restricted airport areas.

Responsibilities

• Exercise safe working practices, complying with Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
• Prepare and execute service calls, emergency maintenance and corrective maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and follow-up on corrective maintenance work orders.
• Troubleshoot electrical-mechanical systems and PLC level issues in automated handling systems.
• Perform basic PLC and VFD diagnostics, adjust settings and manage backups.
• Carry out inspections and maintenance; report operations and maintenance activities.
• Document service reports, parts usage and warranty records in the CMMS.
• Advise on optimization of subsystems and propose improvements to service quality.
• Develop tools to support maintenance activities.

Electrical Maintenance Technician – Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Exercise safe working practice at all times, complying with Lock-Out/ Tag-Out procedures.
• Prepare and execute service calls, Emergency Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance.
• Preform Preventive Maintenance & follow-up on Corrective Maintenance work orders.
• Troubleshoot errors on electrical-mechanical fields as well as the basic PLC level in automated handling systems.
• Preform basic PLC and VFD diagnostics, adjust setting/ parameters, and version control and backups.
• Carry out electrical-mechanical and PLC related inspections, corrective and preventive maintenance as well as emergency maintenance.
• Report and document carried-out operations and maintenance activities, including service reports, parts usage and warranty records through the Computer Maintenance Management System.
• Advise and execute optimization of (sub) systems, consulting the supervisor, control and propose improvements for the quality of the service process.
• Develop service supporting tools and means.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a technical environment, predominantly in industrial electrical systems and controls.
• Degreed and / or certified as an electrician.
• Strong, working knowledge on LMS, sensors, proximity switches and industrial network protocols (Asi, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
