Job summary

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor at O-I’s Auburn plant leads salaried and hourly maintenance staff across General Maintenance, Cold End Mechanization, and Batch and Furnace operations, overseeing installation, repair and preventive maintenance.

You will ensure safety standards, supervise contractors, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices within a tight-knit生产 environment in Auburn, NY.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts periodic inspections of plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversees quality of work performed by maintenance and production staff.
• Coordinates and supervises all construction and service work by outside contractors.
• Assists in health and safety issues affecting ergonomic factors.
• Supervises training of personnel to ensure electricians and electronics techs are trained and efficient.
• Ensures safety and environmental regulations are applied and followed.

Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor assists the Plant Engineer in leading and directing salaried and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of the plant engineering function (General Maintenance, Cold End Mechanization, and the Batch and Furnace department). This includes installation, repair and maintenance of all plant systems, equipment, grounds and facilities. Supports compliance efforts with local, state and federal regulations concerning environmental affairs, OSHA, NFPA, and other governing agencies.

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will:

• Conducts periodic inspections of all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds. Assists in implementing corrective actions when necessary. Oversees all changes or upgrades.
• Responsible for the quality of all work performed by maintenance and production employees assigned to the Electrical / Electronic Technician group.
• Coordinates and supervises all construction and service work performed by outside contractors as directed.
• Assists in overseeing health and safety issues affecting ergonomic factors
• Supervises training of personnel to ensure all electricians and electronic techs are properly trained to perform all aspects of their roles, while ensuring efficiency and high standards are maintained
• Communicates and directs the application of prescribed safety and environmental regulations
• Ensures correct use of safety equipment and that company safety policies are followed
• May oversee parts of our plant apprenticeship program

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor should have:

• Strong maintenance background as an Electrician or Electronic Tech in an industrial environment
• In depth knowledge of Plant Electrical Systems, Control Systems, PLCs, AC Motor Drives, Robots and/or Quality Inspection Systems and Hot End Electronics
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles, while developing a continuous improvement culture that involves all relevant hourly and salaried personnel
• Experience with maintenance management software (preferably SAP)
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization

This position reports directly to the Plant Engineer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or additional training (college, military, apprenticeship programs, etc.) is preferred
• Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
• Glass industry experience is highly preferred
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

What we offer at O-I: Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $115,000and includes a possible12% short-term incentive bonus.
