Job summary

RYAM in Jesup, IA is seeking a Mechanic, Electrical to maintain mill-wide electrical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support reliability of process systems.

You will read drawings and schematics, test equipment, troubleshoot industrial control systems, and plan, install and repair wiring and control panels. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years of experience.
• Able to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in various conditions (inside/outside).

Responsibilities

• Maintain mill-wide electrical equipment including preventive and routine maintenance.
• Plan, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial control systems (PLC, DCS, VFD).
• Work rotating shifts and adapt to varying work conditions.
