Job description

Electrical Maintenance Manager

As a leader in the electrical manufacturing industry specializing in products for hazardous environments, we are seeking a proactive and experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager to oversee and enhance our maintenance operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency and safety, located in Washington, PA. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in guiding the maintenance team, optimizing equipment functionality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing processes. This position offers the opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic and challenging environment where each day provides an opportunity to impact our overall business success.

Salary: $91,000 - $135,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure optimal functioning of plant equipment and maintenance systems within safety and efficiency guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive maintenance programs across all production areas, effectively coordinating both internal and external resources.
  • Drive improvements in asset productivity and reliability, focusing on minimizing downtime and enhancing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Schedule and manage direct reports, conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate safety and training sessions.
  • Manage the procurement and inventory of necessary replacement and repair parts for production equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and budget adherence.
  • Lead planning for capital expansions, including project management and resource allocation to support growth and operational scalability.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards in all maintenance activities, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Engage in and support continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving teams, kaizen events, and total productive maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Enforce a Zero Incident culture through vigilant accident prevention, investigation, and diligent maintenance practices.
  • Facilitate thorough root cause analysis for equipment-related issues, promoting reliability and efficiency.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specifically Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial, from an accredited institution.
  • Solid understanding and application experience of Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) principles.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PLC programming, control systems, and thorough knowledge of electrical systems associated with power presses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications in maintenance management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment dealing with explosive proof and hazardous materials.
  • Experience implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining high quality and compliance in manufacturing operations.
