Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma and experience in construction or repair of secondary electrical systems.
• Must be able to supervise, direct, instruct and work with other people.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assists in maintenance and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Plans electrical work including repairs to high voltage equipment and systems.
• Reads blueprints and wiring diagrams and makes take-offs.
• Requisitions materials and parts needed.
• Ensures completion of installation and repairs.
• Makes emergency repairs to electrical systems and equipment.
• Performs on-the-job training of inmates.
• Requires cross-training in HVAC, plumbing and general maintenance.
