Job summary

Prent Corporation is seeking an Electrical Machine Builder to join our Machine Build team. You will assemble, rebuild, and support complex thermoforming equipment while working closely with teammates to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality machine builds.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience using the tools of the trade, and the ability to read blueprints. Hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with pay from $25.40 to $30.40 per hour,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to use common tools and equipment of the trade.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and rebuild thermoforming equipment with familiarity in the listed areas.
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge in at least one area.
• Read and interpret blueprints to accurately build and assemble equipment.
• Overhaul, repair, and rebuild equipment as needed.
• Coordinate build sequences with teammates to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Provide follow-up support for new equipment assembled by the Machine Build Department.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Analyze machine-building processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Identify unsafe conditions or practices and report issues to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About your new role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Machine Builder to join our Machine Build team. In this role, you will assemble, rebuild, and support complex thermoforming equipment while working closely with fellow team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality machine builds.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience using tools of the trade, and familiarity with multiple areas of industrial equipment assembly, including mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical/electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble and rebuild thermoforming equipment, with familiarity in the following areas:
• Demonstrate a strong working knowledge in at least one of the areas listed above.
• Read and interpret blueprints and use them to accurately build and assemble equipment.
• Overhaul, repair, and rebuild equipment as needed.
• Coordinate build sequences with fellow employees to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Provide follow-up support for new equipment assembled by the Machine Build Department.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Identify and correct unsafe conditions or practices when possible and report issues to management when necessary.

Your hours:

7:00am - 3:30pm. Monday through Friday

Pay:

$25.40 to $30.40 per hour, depending on experience.

• Ability to effectively use common tools and equipment of the trade.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints is preferred.
