Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

This role provides hands‑on leadership and organizational support across multiple branch locations within the electrical distribution and construction environment. The position requires weekly travel to various sites to train teams on proper material handling, laydown yard organization, cage setup, delivery management, and safe operation of equipment. The individual will oversee staging and delivery processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.

Success in this role demands strong multitasking abilities, clear communication, and the capacity to coach personnel with varying levels of experience. The position also includes preparing detailed branch visit reports, documenting progress, and following up on action items from previous visits. Solid typing and basic computer skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and supporting continuous improvement across locations.

HIGH PAYOFF ACTIVITES:
Staging Materials For Crews
  • Use the 1WLA to coach crew member.
  • Ensure material properly organized based on material training.
  • Prep material.
  • Teach employees how to communicate with foremen’s.
  • Deliver material based on 2 day advance SOP.
Training how to except deliveries through Kojo.
  • Make sure laydown is prepared to accept large deliveries.
  • Take P.O. sheet from supply driver.
  • Match pallets to the P.O. sheet and check off material.
  • e-sign that items have been received.
  • Breakdown pallet and place material in the proper area.
Material Prepping and Material Laydown/Cage Organization
  • Organize the cages in four categories. Inwall, Overhead, Trim/lighting controls and Hardware.
  • Organize the laydown in five categories.
  • Prep material to be used for the next week. Use the 1WLA.
Lead job to determine what stage the Logistics team is performing at.
  • (4 Stages: Training, Train with supervision, Do the task with weekly follow up and Completing with no follow up.)
  • Weekly visit to inspect the laydown and cages.
  • Lead will use the 1WLA to ensure that prepping and staging are being completed.
  • Lead will email his finding after each visit to the MPS.
Ability to read 1wla and 4wla.
  • Lead with be trained to understand how to build a 1WLA and 4WLA.
  • Lead will coach logistics crew on how to execute staging by using the 1WLA.
  • Lead will know how to match the 4WLA to the 1WLA for accuracy.
OTHER TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Document visits and follow up on previous action items
  • Report findings to Manager of Field Logistics.
