Job summary

Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY is seeking a Maintenance Manager- Electrical and Locksmith to oversee electrical infrastructure, scheduling, budgeting, and staff management across electrical and locksmith shops.

The role includes developing preventative maintenance programs, coordinating with HVAC and safety teams, and ensuring projects meet university standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in the electrical field with journeyman experience.
• Proficient in Excel & Microsoft Office, asset management software and other relevant ERP applications.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and their implementation.
• Proven ability to drive process improvement, including the effective use of technology and automation.
• Excellent communication skills and aptitude for managerial responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all work on generators and elevators, including service contracts, maintenance, and projects.
• Analyze data to create periodic reports on electrical infrastructure health.
• Develop means to identify improvement opportunities in electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with HVAC Manager to implement energy measurement equipment.
• Create electrical deferred maintenance plans prioritizing projects by criticality.
• Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety to maintain compliance.
• Review active projects with leadership and contribute to budget development.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer service and weekly planning.
