Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) seeks an instructor to deliver approved curriculum in an applied learning environment, mentoring students and integrating technology to enrich learning. Responsibilities include facilitating activities, interpreting assessments, and providing constructive feedback to support growth and outcomes.

Salary ranges from $90,136 to $117,177 plus up to $6K retention bonus annually; final offer depends on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Verifiable work experience as an Electrical Lineworker.
• Hold a class C driver's license.
• Ability to explain safety procedures and linework basics.
• Experience with PPE and line tools.
• Knowledge of distribution and underground power utilities.
• Understanding of pole installation and transformer connections.
• Ability to mentor students and deliver instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality instruction and facilitate student learning.
• Maintain accurate student records and scheduling; ensure safety and facility readiness.
• Advise and mentor students; collaborate with Office of Student Success to boost retention.
• Participate in recruitment tours and department planning.
• Demonstrate teamwork and service; adapt to evening/weekend assignments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
