Job summary

Texas State Technical College seeks an Instructor to deliver applied learning in electrical linework, guiding students through instruction, assessments, and mentorship. The role emphasizes safety, hands-on training, and real-world readiness within a comprehensive college program.

Faculty will integrate technology into teaching, develop syllabi, maintain records, and participate in recruitment activities to promote the program and student success at TSTC.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a closely related field and demonstrated qualifications in the technology’s teaching discipline.
• Verifiable work experience as an Electrical Lineworker.
• Hold a class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students.
• Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans, and organize daily classes.
• Utilize a variety of creative/innovative techniques to teach and engage learners.
• Mentor students and provide constructive feedback to support growth and outcomes.
• Integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational experience.
• Recruitment and promotion activities to support program growth.

Journeyman Certification

OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification

Class A Commercial Driver's License (Unrestricted)
