Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician in Foster City, CA to support the Sensor Engineering department and Advanced Hardware Engineering team. The role focuses on building wiring harnesses, cabling test assets, and maintaining lab operations.

The candidate will design, install, and document wiring and rack layouts, while ensuring safety and accuracy. 3+ years in electronics environments and proficiency with test equipment are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in a lab, bench technician, or data center hardware role.
• Associate degree or vocational/technical certification in electronics.
• Experience designing and building wiring harnesses and crimping automotive-grade connectors.
• Experience racking and cabling servers and network equipment.
• Proficient with hand tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies; knowledge of AC/DC safety and ESD.

Responsibilities

• Design and build wiring harnesses for HIL benches and rack builds.
• Rack, stack, and wire test assets including compute nodes and switches.
• Own day-to-day lab operations and maintain safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot hardware faults with test engineers to reproduce and escalate failures.
• Maintain build documentation such as pinout tables, BOMs, wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and revisions.
