Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking an Electrical Journeyman Lead to assemble, modify, and install electrical equipment and controls for industrial and commercial units. You will mentor apprentices and helpers, report to the Electrical Lead, and ensure high quality, safety, and timely project execution.

You will interpret schematics, lead raceway installations, inspect systems, and collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines while maintaining thorough documentation and compliance

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified journeyman apprenticeship program.
• Current Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Idaho.
• 2+ years of experience as a licensed journeyman in industrial/construction settings.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with high‑voltage equipment and industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, and specs to determine material needs and installation procedures.
• Lead layout and installation of electrical raceways including conduit and cable trays.
• Inspect and test electrical systems and control wiring using diagnostic tools.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices and electrical helpers.
• Perform hands‑on assembly and installation of electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report progress to Electrical Lead.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

As an Electrical Journeyman Lead, you will be responsible for assembling, modifying, and installing electrical equipment and controls for industrial and commercial units. In this leadership role, you will report to the Electrical Lead and serve as a key mentor and supervisor to apprentices, electrical helpers, and general laborers. You will ensure that all work meets high‑quality standards, adheres to safety protocols, and is completed efficiently and accurately.

Accountabilities

• Interpret and apply schematic drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine material needs and installation procedures.
• Lead the layout and installation of electrical raceways including conduit, wireways, and cable trays.
• Inspect and test electrical systems and control wiring using diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices and electrical helpers, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
• Perform hands‑on assembly and installation of electrical equipment and house utilities.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain accurate documentation and report progress or issues to the Electrical Lead.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified journeyman apprenticeship program and current Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Idaho.
• 2+ years of experience as a licensed journeyman in an industrial or construction setting.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with high‑voltage equipment and industrial electrical systems.
• Familiarity with control panels, control houses, and related electrical components.
