Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily operations on assigned commercial electrical projects.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coordinate apprentices and field electricians.
  • Plan and assign daily work to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems as needed.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and project drawings.
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
  • Bend and install EMT, rigid conduit, cable tray, and other raceway systems.
  • Install panels, switchgear, lighting systems, feeders, and commercial electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and resolve field issues efficiently.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, local electrical codes, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Conduct job site safety meetings and maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Track material needs, identify shortages, and coordinate deliveries.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets company and customer expectations.
  • Complete daily reports and communicate project progress to management.

Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Journeyman Level Electrician to lead commercial electrical projects from the field. This position is ideal for a licensed journeyman who is confident managing crews, coordinating daily job site activities, maintaining quality workmanship, and ensuring projects stay on schedule while meeting all safety and code requirements.

Per diem available if qualified

Must have Journeyman license or willing to reciprocate the license to Iowa before stating.
