Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Engineering Group Manager to lead Electrical Integration & Numerical Optimization. You will own the development of optimization tools for electronics placement and lead a seasoned team to apply these tools across GM’s vehicle platforms.

You will shape packaging strategies, collaborate with body, propulsion, and software groups, and drive cost, performance, and velocity improvements in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computational Science, Engineering and Mathematics, Operations Research & Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or Physics.
• Experience leading development and application of optimization tools and frameworks.
• Strong ability to apply data-driven methods to system-level electrical integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of industry-leading numerical optimization tools for electronics layout in GM vehicles.
• Head a team of Physical Electrical Integration Engineers to apply optimization across platforms.
• Drive cross-functional architecture decisions early in vehicle development.
• Develop scalable toolchains and processes for rapid optimization under real constraints.
