Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Electrical I&T Engineer to plan and execute integration and test activities for spacecraft systems. You will implement the full engineering development cycle to ensure spacecraft readiness before launch, reporting to the EI&T Lead Engineer on progress.

Responsibilities include leading test campaigns, designing fixtures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet flight requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of integration and test experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent.
  • Experience writing and reviewing test documentation (plans, procedures, reports).
  • Experience writing and debugging Python scripts.
  • Operational knowledge of common electrical test equipment.

Job Summary

As a member of the Electrical Integration and Test (EI&T) team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of integration and test activities ranging from board-level to system-level campaigns. You will implement the full engineering development cycle to ensure overall spacecraft readiness prior to launch, and will report to the Electrical I&T Lead Engineer on progress.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct integration and testing of flight and non-flight electrical systems at the component, subsystem, and spacecraft level.
  • Write test plans and procedures to verify functionality of spacecraft components and subsystems responsible for guidance, navigation and control (GNC), RF communications, power distribution, and thermal and propulsion control.
  • Automate test execution and data collection using Python, LabVIEW, and related software tools.
  • Lead electrical test campaigns by running test readiness reviews, anomaly response teams, and post-test reviews.
  • Design electrical test fixtures and ground support equipment for both component and system-level testing.
  • Work with outside test facilities to plan and perform off-site testing, and provide support on-location during test execution.
  • Collaborate with payload teams to define interface requirements and ensure successful integration of all electrical systems.
  • Work closely with Systems Engineers, Design Engineers, and the Program Management Office to ensure I&T activities are conducted to plan and deliver a spacecraft fully certified for flight.
  • Ensure the safety of equipment and personnel during the integration process.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years relevant integration and test experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Background in testing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
  • Experience writing and reviewing test documentation including test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Experience writing, debugging, and executing scripts in Python or a similar programming language.
  • Operational knowledge of common electrical test equipment such as bench power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition systems.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience testing safety-critical hardware and software systems.
  • Experience reviewing and modifying technical drawings using Altium or similar electronic design software.
  • Experience with environmental testing campaigns such as thermal vacuum, EMI/EMC, and vibration testing. Knowledge of relevant MIL-STD or NASA GEVS standards for testing.
  • Experience designing electrical test fixtures or ground support equipment.
  • Experience with integration and test campaigns for a spacecraft/satellite project.
  • Knowledge of avionics manufacturing processes such as PCB assembly, harness fabrication, and inspection processes.
  • Adaptable to startup environment, able to self-start with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in a 100K or ISO8 class cleanroom environment.
  • IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 certification.

The good faith base salary range $100,000 - $125,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
