Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is hiring an E&I Technician in Longview, WA to manage routine and emergency maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and their controls. The role involves instrument calibration, control valve maintenance, and assuring uptime across corrugating processes.

The ideal candidate has journeyman level experience in industrial maintenance, strong electrical and instrumentation knowledge, and the ability to read schematics and work with PLCs.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance environments at journeyman level.
• Familiar with electrical schematics, mechanical systems, PLCs and HVAC.
• Education includes a certified trade program in Electrical or Instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and calibrate instrumentation including transmitters, actuators and sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and control instruments.
• Troubleshoot PLC and telemetry hardware/software and perform software changes.
