Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products Group seeks an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician for our Muskogee, OK Tissue, Towel, and Napkin Mill. The role supports electrical and mechanical needs, collaborating with supervisors and team members to maintain equipment performance and safety.

The position offers a 12-hour rotating shift or day shift, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and overtime as needed. The team operates on a large site with hundreds of employees, focusing on reliable

Qualifications

• Associate/Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Two or more years in Electrical/Electronic/Controls troubleshooting in manufacturing or military.
• Experience reading electrical/maintenance schematics or blueprints.
• Experience using electrical test devices such as Ammeters, Voltmeters, Ohmmeters.
• Experience in PLC systems, including ladder logic.
• MS Word and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment to maintain machine performance.
• Inspect machinery for issues and reliability gaps.
• Lead environment focused on zero incidents in EH&S.
• Meet or exceed production and quality goals.
• Document daily work and machine conditions.
• Perform maintenance, assembly, and repair tasks.
• Work with AC/DC voltages from 24V to 13200V.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, and machine interfaces.
• Read PLC ladder logic and electrical drawings for troubleshooting.
• Contact vendors for support when needed.
• Lift, walk, climb, and work in confined spaces for 8 hours daily.
