Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking an experienced electrician/technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems at our Manistique, MI facility. The role requires flexibility for weekend coverage and overtime, and availability for call-ins.

Candidates should read and interpret procedures and schematics, and troubleshoot PLCs and various drives and controls. Safety PPE and ladders/lifts may be involved.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in electrical/industrial technology preferred.
• Michigan Journeyman/Master License is a plus.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical and instrumentation systems/equipment.
• Willing to work rotating weekend coverage and overtime as needed.
• Availability for call-ins required.
• Read and interpret safety procedures, manuals, and electrical/instrumentation schematics.
• Troubleshoot: GE PLCs, Allen Bradley PLCs, variable speed drives, motor controls, lighting, power distribution, transmitters, control valves.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment.
• Willing to work rotating weekend coverage and overtime, as necessary.
• Availability for call-ins is required.
• Possess good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work from ladders, mobile lifts, and follow EHS PPE requirements.
• Ability to work safely around power distribution equipment, hydraulic system, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety procedures, operating/maintenance manuals, and electrical/instrumentation schematics.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining, but not limited to the following: GE PLCs, Allen Bradley PLCs, variable speed AC and DC drives, motor controls, lighting, power distribution, transmitters, and control valves.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• 3 years' experience in the electrical/industrial technology field is preferred.
• Michigan Journeyman/ Master License is a plus.
• Good Communication and organizational skills.
• The ability to work with others and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude is required

Hourly wage range: $31.22-$37.77
