Job summary

Origin Mining Company seeks an Industrial Electrical & Instrumentation technician for our pulp and paper processing environment. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and instrumentation devices, interpret blueprints, and initiate work orders to sustain equipment run ability.

Required: at least 3 years in industrial settings, NEC knowledge, PLC/VFD experience and IO wiring, and the ability to work rotating 24/7/365 shifts. A driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and understanding and application of electrical formulas.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace electrical, electronic and instrumentation devices.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to troubleshoot and maintain process control systems.
• Initiate and complete work-orders and document all critical and relevant information on a routine basis.
• Experience in motor control, VFDs, PLC controls & I/O wiring; voltage experience.
• Efficient use of meters and electrical tools; process control experience.

Industrial Electrical Experience Required

The E&I technician will utilize their skills and knowledge of electrical equipment, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and rigging, in our continuous pulp and paper process manufacturing environment to achieve equipment run ability.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace electrical, electronic and instrumentation devices
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to troubleshoot and maintain process control systems
• Initiate and complete work-orders and document all critical and or pertinent information on a routine basis
• The successful candidate will possess the following experience in an industrial setting. Motor Control Experience Experience with VFD’s Experience in PLC Controls & I/O Wiring Voltage Experience 13,200
• Efficiency with Meters and Electrical Tools Process Control Experience

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience required
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and understanding and application of mathematical and electrical formulas is essential

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion
• Ability to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically
