Job summary

Koch Methanol is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support its facility in St. James, Louisiana.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and improve electrical, instrumentation, and control systems that support safe and reliable facility operations. This position operates on a 4/10s schedule on Monday - Thursday with overtime and on call as needed, with up to 10% travel for training and site support.

Qualifications

• Experience calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, and installing instrumentation or electrical equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, DCS, or other industrial control systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to be medically cleared for respiratory protection.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull up to 75 lbs; climb stairs and ladders; outdoor work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and control systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on flow, level, pressure, temperature, vibration, analyzer, VFD, E-motor, MCC, and related equipment.
• Verify Emerson DeltaV control systems, SIS, DCS, SCADA, PLC, and HMI operation.
• Use CMMS, ValveLink, and SPI to manage daily maintenance workflow and equipment data.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and P&IDs to support troubleshooting and installation.
