Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Specialist to join our Pryor, Oklahoma area team. You will troubleshoot, program, and repair PLCs, HMIs, drives, and related control systems across a fast-paced paper manufacturing setting.

You will support instrument installations, document changes, and work with operations, engineering, and contractors to ensure safe, reliable operation of process controls and E&I systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
  • Combination of education and experience may substitute for a degree.
  • 1–3+ years experience as electrical maintenance technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Paper manufacturing or other industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of sensors, switches, controllers, instrumentation, transmitters, automated valves, calibrations, industrial communications, robotics, motion control and AC/DC control power.
  • Programming experience includes the ability to create, monitor, modify PLC and DCS control logic.
  • Ability to work with plant personnel, engineering groups, and outside contractors to ensure the proper execution of work.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Successfully support daily activities, periodic shutdowns for fabric changes/maintenance, long‑term planning and capital projects related to the process controls and E&I department.
  • Support reliability programs such as thermography, ultrasound, motor and power analysis

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, industrial technology, or other related degree or a vocational certificate/diploma in electronic controls/instrumentation/technician.
