Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Manufacturing Technology E&I Process Engineer for our El Dorado, AR plant. The role focuses on electrical and instrumentation system reliability, safety, and performance within a highly regulated chemical manufacturing environment.

You will lead RCFA activities, collaborate with maintenance and operations, and drive long-term reliability improvements while ensuring compliance with NEC and NFPA 70E. Strong communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of electrical and/or reliability engineering experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Experience with field maintenance personnel and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Proficient with engineering software and data tools.
  • Experience in design, specification, installation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Strong understanding of NEC and hazardous locations.
  • Ability to perform and document RCFA.
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing or other PSM-regulated industries.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise for reliability, maintenance, and performance of plant electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Oversee safe operation of electrical distribution systems, ensuring NEC/NFPA 70E compliance.
  • Support PSM-covered processes via MOCs, PHAs, equipment reviews.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFAs) and drive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations to troubleshoot and improve reliability.
  • Develop and approve specs for electrical components, instrumentation, controls.
  • Guide installation, testing, and commissioning of systems.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improvements.
  • Contribute to preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
  • Support capital projects with design input and reliability evaluations.
  • Promote safety culture and compliance with codes and policies.
  • Champion reliability through standard work and resource recommendations.
  • Provide SME guidance and training in equipment areas.
  • Assist in Mechanical Integrity/QA, reliability, and PPM programs for electrical equipment.

This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the Technology function. This position will report to the Manufacturing Technology Leader.The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in electrical engineering, demonstrated experience in power distribution and industrial E&I systems, and proven capability in applying reliability methodologies.
