Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Technician

Join our team as an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Technician at Kruger Products | Produits Kruger.

The E&I Maintenance Technician supports the paper machine and/or converting areas, working closely with operations teams to deliver reliability-centered maintenance. Reporting to the Maintenance or Electrical Supervisor, this hourly position involves a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including day and night shifts, across a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, troubleshooting, installing, rebuilding, or repairing electrical components, supporting service calls, maintaining tools and parts, completing service records, and recommending equipment modifications. The role also involves supporting Mechanical Maintenance tasks and learning new skills.

The technician integrates with the operational team, providing insights and support, including backing up operations personnel when necessary.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Safety:

• Follow safety rules and procedures, report injuries, participate in investigations, maintain housekeeping, and lead safety discussions.

Quality:

• Ensure work adheres to quality standards, support correction of quality issues, and promote quality awareness.

Productivity and Reliability:

• Support machine operation, troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, read control logic, maintain spares, and utilize SAP system effectively.

Cost Management:

• Manage costs, reduce inventory, and proactively resolve operational issues.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

• Maintain equipment and facility standards, perform inspections, and assist in repairs.

Team Development:

• Engage in continuous learning, participate in improvement teams, and mentor others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years old
• Electrical and PLC aptitude (STM Assessment)
• Journeyman status preferred or relevant experience
• 2+ years manufacturing experience
• Electrical license or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Teamwork, safety commitment, computer literacy, communication skills
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and stand for long periods
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and in challenging environments
