Job summary

A leading company in the Water Treatment industry in Singapore is expanding and looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer. The successful candidate will be involved in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting E&I systems on engineering projects while collaborating with clients and internal teams. This role requires strong technical knowledge and at least three years of experience in the Water and Waste Treatment field.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience preferred in Water and Waste Treatment.
• Project management experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical cable sizing, voltage drop, VFD, and control systems is a plus.

Job description

Our client is a leader in the Water Treatment industry in Singapore. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the East.

Responsibilities

• Carry out E&I testing, commissioning, and system start-up for assigned engineering projects.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth system handover and completion.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during testing and commissioning phases.
• Maintain accurate documentation, track punch list items, and ensure timely closure.
• Provide regular updates through daily or weekly progress reports and meetings.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to address design or operational issues.
• Ensure timely execution of tasks in line with safety standards and project specifications.
• Follow work procedures including permit-to-work systems, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Min Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering/Control & Instrumentation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience preferred in Water and Waste Treatment
• Good skills in E&I troubleshooting.
• Experience in project management would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical cable sizing/voltage drop /VFD/control systems is a plus.
