Job summary

Fort Point in Greenville, SC is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Designer to perform a broad range of E&I design activities for EPC projects. You will produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, power routing, and control panel layouts using CAD software.

The role emphasizes adherence to NEC/NFPA codes, development of P&IDs, loops, I/O lists, and familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs for automation.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and instrumentation design for capital projects.
• Proficient in CAD systems and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, power routing plans using CAD (2D and 3D).
• Create cable schedules, conduit layouts, and terminal strip drawings.
• Design control panels with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and other automation components.
• Draft and maintain P&IDs and loop diagrams for control system documentation.
• Assist in the development of I/O lists and related documentation.
