What You Can Expect

In addition, you will update wiring diagrams, schematics, system logs, and technical drawings while providing training and functional supervision to staff, fully meeting E&I Tech II standards and any other assigned duties.

What You’ll Bring

  • Associate’s degree in Automation & Instrumentation (A&I) or Electronics Engineering Technology (EET); in lieu of a degree a total of 4 years of direct industrial automation and controls experience
  • Holds or is pursuing a valid Class A Journeyman or equivalent license; strong grasp of AC theory, single/three-phase systems, and watt-hour metering, with practical application in power distribution and motor control optimization
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in troubleshooting, calibration, fiber optic splicing, instrumentation, and utility system maintenance
  • Knowledge with OSHA standards, safety codes, and electrical regulations
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, configuring control systems, reading schematics, and understanding Ethernet/network protocols and architectures

Additional Details

  • You must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record
  • You must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
  • This role requires daily attendance at worksite
  • Must be physically capable to hear and understand audible alarms, detect changes in noise levels of equipment and portable radio communication
  • Capable of frequently standing; walking; balancing; sitting; climbing (ladders, stairs, ramps, catwalks and the like as required); kneeling; pushing; pulling; lifting (min. 50 lbs)
  • Capable of performing repetitive motions as required
  • Required to have eyesight corrected at 20/40 to accurately read and interpret such as but not limited to instruments, gauges, and manuals
  • Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full-face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses
  • The position consists of 85% work indoors and 15% work outdoors; outdoor work may expose the employee to weather conditions

Compensation

Hourly Range: $32.45 – $49.70 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan and emergency or on-call pay.
