Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years of full-time professional electrical industry experience.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and applicable electrical safety requirements.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain prior to instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with NCCER curriculum and course outlines.
• Teach electrical theory, safety, circuits, wiring methods, devices, and other trade concepts.
• Introduce and reinforce NEC requirements and their practical application.
• Teach students to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Prepare lesson plans, lab exercises, and hands-on activities.
• Demonstrate safe use of electrical tools, testing equipment, and PPE.
• Supervise lab activities and enforce safety practices.
• Evaluate student progress through assessments and hands-on demonstrations.
• Maintain NCCER records and course documentation.
• Ensure a safe, organized classroom and lab environment.
• Communicate course progress with CPS staff and equipment needs.
