Qualifications

• Must have an active certification or licensure.
• At least 5 years experience within the last 10 years.
• Non‑Degree and Occupational Associate Degrees: 3 years’ practical work experience.
• Academic Associate or Bachelor’s Degree: 4+ years’ practical work experience and related degree.
• Master’s degree in the content area or master’s with 18 graduate credits in the content area.
• Eight years’ practical work experience may substitute for required experience.
• General Education: master’s degree with 18 semester hours in subject area.
• Some states require 18 semester hours at the master’s level.
• Prior to teaching, instructor training or documented teaching experience is required.
• Ability to qualify as an instructor per accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction using classroom and lab methods to engage students.
• Ensure students meet learning objectives for each course.
• Prepare and maintain instructional materials and equipment.
• Participate in faculty assessment and ongoing professional development.
• Attend meetings, analyze assessment data, and meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation and internal policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
