Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS) is seeking an experienced Electrician / Electrical Installer to support long-term energy efficiency projects at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, GA. The role emphasizes installation, wiring, and controls equipment, with a focus on HVAC, metering, and electrical systems.

The position requires reading schematics and knowledge of local codes, with the ability to work independently in a federal setting.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or formal training in electrical installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and/or engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of local electrical codes.
• Experienced in scope determination of installation materials.
• Able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of electrical systems utilizing codes, company procedures, schematics, and/or engineering drawings.
• Installs raceways, cables and wiring to meet local or national codes, standards and customer system requirements.
• Mounts and terminates controls equipment as needed.
• May assist sales with electrical estimates, including walking retrofit projects.
• Checks out wiring and terminations with test instruments as needed.
• Assists with paperwork, including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Provides feedback to engineering team on changes and keeps as-built drawings current.
• Adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs and policies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
