In this role, you will install, program, system start-up/check-out, certify, and train customers on assigned projects including small or less complex projects. What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

• Act as "our customer's best service provider" at all times, ensuring Convergint is the customer's first choice for service.
• Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of non-routine systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm & life safety systems. You will be a key interface for technical support and training for the customer and are accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint in a timely manner to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.

What You'll Need

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to meet customer needs proactively.
• Willingness to learn technical skills related to fire alarm systems and electronic security systems.
• Be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., working with hand and power tools such as drills, screwdrivers, wire strippers, hacksaws, crimpers).
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to job sites regularly; minimal overnight travel may be required.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma

Minimum Experience: 2-3 years, trade school or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience: Relevant field installation experience (not required)
