Job summary

FORTNA is seeking an experienced Electrical Installer to support industrial and commercial installations. You will run conduit, install devices, fire and alarm systems, and power distribution, while upholding Fortna safety and quality standards.

Travel is required, OSHA 10 is required, CPR/First Aid, and you will read customer specs and NEC codes to ensure compliant, reliable systems across project sites.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equal.
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • 4+ years’ experience in Industrial/Commercial Electrical installations.
  • OSHA 10 Certified.
  • First Aid, CPR Certification.
  • Experience with Power tools, forklift, & man-lift operations and their safety standards.
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot 480/120VAC & 24VDC systems.
  • Experience with Electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Self-motivated, detail and quality oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installations including conduit and raceway installations.
  • Install devices and fire/alarm systems.
  • Perform electrical power distribution installations.
  • Install data, networking and CCTV systems.
  • Own project installation quality and adhere to Fortna standards.
  • Follow customer specifications and OSHA/industry standards.
  • Promote a superior safety culture and participate in toolbox talks.
  • Complete daily job-hazard analyses (JHAs) and report incidents.

Reports to: LPS Electrical Installation Lead

Required Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or equal
  • Willing and able to travel
  • 4+ years’ experience in Industrial/Commercial Electrical installations
  • OSHA 10 Certified
  • First Aid, CPR Certification
  • Experience with Power tools, forklift, & man-lift operations and their specific safety standards.
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot 480/120VAC & 24VDC systems
  • Experience with Electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment
  • Self-motivated, detail and quality oriented.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 30 Certified
  • Knowledge and Adherence of Electrical Safety Standards (LOTO, NFPA 70E)
  • Experience at reading & comprehending construction blueprints
  • Experience at reading & comprehending NEC and Customer specifications
  • Familiar with PLCs, VFDs, Servos, Motors, Control Panels, IO, etc.
  • Sorter and conveyance installations with maintenance experience
  • Experience with industrial package handling installations
  • Experience with distribution & fulfillment package handling installations
