Job summary

Technical Safety Services (TSS) is seeking a Full-Time on-site Low Voltage Electrical Installer in San Jose, CA. You will install gas detection systems, life safety controls, and other low-voltage systems at customer sites across California.

From new installations to upgrades, you’ll perform conduit installation, wiring, panel work, diagrams, and QA to meet project specifications. Join a safety-minded team.

This is a full-time, onsite position supporting one of the world's leading R&D equipment manufacturers in San Jose, CA. This role requires travel to customer locations throughout California as project needs require.

What You'll Take Ownership Of

• System Installation– Install gas detection systems, sensors, transmitters, duct mounts, PLC panels, battery backup systems, pull stations, horn/strobes,photohelicpressure switches, and other life safety devices.

• Electrical Installation– Perform conduit installation, pipe bending, wire pulling, termination, and pre-wire electrical systems for new installations.

• Control Wiring– Pull,terminate, and test CAT6 and multi-conductor control wiring while ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.

• Panel Work– Install and work within PLC control panels while following established electrical safety practices.

• Documentation & Quality– Maintainaccuratework records, follow installation manuals, and ensure all work meets customer specifications and applicable codes.

• Safety & Compliance– Adhere to company safety standards, legal regulations, and customer site requirements whilemaintaininga clean and organized work environment.

• Team Collaboration– Work closely with project managers, technicians, and customer personnel to successfully complete installations on schedule.

What You'll Bring

• 2–5 years of experience installing low-voltage electrical orcontrolssystems.

• Experience with conduit installation, pipe bending, wire pulling, and electrical terminations.

• Experience installing or working within PLC control panels.

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and technical documentation.

• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and life safety controls.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
