Job summary

Strada Services is seeking an on-site DL Installers & Apprentices to install electrical rough and finish systems in new home developments in Navasota, Texas. You will read blueprints, follow NEC codes, and work with hand and power tools to wire and connect circuits in residential construction.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent and prefer completion of an apprenticeship with an electrician’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license is preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years of fast-paced residential electrical new construction experience.
• Must be able to install boxes, wire, devices, lighting, breakers, and equipment according to local and NEC codes.
• Must possess own hand tools and power tools to execute electrical jobs.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential new construction homes.
• Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical components to ensure safety and correct installation.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for wire placement.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.

Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for installing various types of electrical rough and finish systems in new home developments according to local and NEC codes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential new construction homes.
• Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical components to ensure safety, and correct installation.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, and blueprints, to identify proper wire placement.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to read blueprints.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
