Job summary

Strada Services is seeking an electrically skilled professional to install and service residential electrical rough and finish systems in new home developments in Florida. You will read blueprints, install wiring, conduits, and circuit breakers in accordance with NEC codes, and ensure safe, compliant installations.

The role requires 2+ years in fast-paced residential construction, a valid license/apprenticeship, and tools of the trade.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship and electrician’s license preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of fast-paced residential electrical new construction experience.
• Ability to install boxes, wire, devices, lighting, breakers, and equipment according to NEC codes.
• Must possess own hand tools and power tools.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Report.

Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential new construction homes.
• Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
• Installs circuit breakers and connects wiring to them.
• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical components to ensure safety and correct installation.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, and blueprints, to identify proper wire placement.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

• Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in residential new construction homes.
• Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
• Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
• Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
• Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspects electrical components to ensure safety, and correct installation.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, and blueprints, to identify proper wire placement.
• Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
• Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
• Fully understands local and federal regulations for safe electrical systems.

• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years of fast-paced residential electrical new construction experience.
• Must be able to install boxes, wire, devices, lighting, breakers, and equipment according to local and NEC codes.
• Must possess own hand tools and power tools to execute electrical jobs.
• A Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Report.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
• Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
• Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
