Job summary

New Jersey State League of Municipalities seeks a full-time Electrical Inspector for Toms River Township who holds a valid HHS license and a plumbing subcode license issued by the NJ DCA, and/or a valid ICS. The inspector will analyze and interpret the current New Jersey Electrical Code, investigate violations, read plans, and observe construction to determine code compliance in a municipal setting.

The ideal candidate may hold multiple licenses and must communicate findings clearly to builders

Qualifications

• Valid HHS license and plumbing subcode license issued by the NJ DCA, and/or valid ICS.
• Ability to analyze and interpret current New Jersey Electrical Code data.
• Ability to read plans and observe physical construction to determine code compliance.
• Multiple licenses desirable.
