Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks an Electrician Helper for Spring, TX to support electrical crews on industrial sites. The role is full-time, on-site, and requires readiness to work in a demanding, safety-focused environment.

You will assist with wiring installation, testing, and maintenance, gather tools, measure, cut, and bend wire, and help diagnose issues using test equipment. TWIC card and valid driver's license are required; US work authorization is necessary.

Qualifications

• 2 years of helper-level electrical experience.
• TWIC Card is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions of the electrician.
• Measures, cuts and bends wire and conduit, using a ruler and hand tools.
• Drills holes for wiring, using power drill and pulls or pushes wiring through opening.
• Trace out short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter.
• Assists in lifting, positioning or fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.
• Performs minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches.
• May disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment.
• Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
