The electrical helper will work on various construction projects. This role involves working within a team and may require out-of-town travel.

In this role, the electrical helper will have the opportunity to attend our in-house training programs to enhance their understanding of the construction and electrical industries.

Job Duties:

1. Assist in the assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry.
2. Install conduits, pull wire, and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors, and petroleum lighting.
3. Inspect electrical systems and components to verify safety compliance, adherence to codes, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements. Verify proper operation of electrical systems.
4. Advise management, customers, and employees about hazards and safe operation of electrical systems.
5. Assist estimators with material take-offs, material costs, and labor allowances.

Experience, Competencies, and Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of experience as an apprentice with an electrical company; no journeyman card required
• Knowledge of electrician standards and codes
• Detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Work efficiently under time constraints and collaborate well with others
• Follow all company procedures
