Job summary

The City of Seguin is seeking an Electrical Helper to support SSLGC facilities near Nixon. You will assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of motors, control panels, and related equipment, under licensed supervision and TDlr requirements.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of electrical helper experience, plus a Texas driver’s license. Starting wage is $21.31/hour, with overtime and on-call responsibilities, at SSLGC sites.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical principles and NEC knowledge.
• Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with electrical safety practices and lockout/tagout.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing motors and switchgear.
• Mount/conduit wiring, terminations, and labeling as directed.
• Inspect and maintain instrumentation and SCADA field equipment.
